Fresh Produce shoot
This shoot was difficult because its hard to figure out the correct lighting and composition. But if you get it right the photos can look super cool. It was also difficult not to eat it as I was shooting it! I have found the simpler the better. Fruit and Veggies are not complicated things, so why complicate them? And apples are my favorite.
Jackson is where its at!
While in Jackson Hole we had the opportunity to eat at a restaurant called “The Lift”. It was seriously so good, hopefully you can see that through my pictures. Everything from the appetizers to desert to the main course was mouth watering. While taking these photos at the lift, it was difficult to know what lighting would look best on what food and what background. But once I got the hang of it I was able to produce some pretty awesome stuff!
Eating at the Lift
We had a great experience being able to go to the restaurant called “The Lift”. The food there is amazing and so is the atmosphere. Everyone loved eating there and I hope you can see that through my images. The people there are way nice also. I would totally recommend it to anyone. The lift is a great place if you want a variety of quality food and a casual atmosphere.
Shooting Product Photography Inside
This was a very fun project to work on because I learned a lot about different lighting styles and had to use my creativity in a different way than usual. Finding products and trying to see what composition promotes the product the best and it still pleasing to the eye, is actually pretty difficult. It takes a whole new set of creativity to come up with product photos that look good. I never knew whether to make it super simple or make it have a lot of different aspects, so I did both. for the febreze product I wanted to get the product and the aspects of my product through out the whole image instead of focusing on just one part of the product. which is what I did for the telephone booth. I wanted to just focus on the telephone booth so I put it in the light box so that there would be no other distractions. As for the cards product and the succulents and binoculars, I wanted to do a combination of simple and yet putting different aspects into the picture. It is simple but still has different things to focus on.
Food and Product shot in the Frozen Tundra
For this shoot I had to get creative with using my resources. I had to shoot food and products outside, which does not provide much room for diversity. So, for the Triscuits I wanted to make the illusion of just having them on a white background, instead of making them look like they are in snow. And it worked! I love the simplicity, and the snow was actually very useful because I could use it to put the box and triscuits at an angle. As for the Jarritos, I wanted to use a different angle on cold beverages. It was more of a pun, because its a beverage in the cold. And the Hot cocoa is kind of self-explained, its cold outside so I put gloves to imply its cold, along with the fact that its in snow. Then I put the mug next to it with #love so that you want to drink it.
